Introductions

My name is Mark Rich. My trail name is Missionary. Thank you for visiting this site. As this site developes, my prayer is that it will provide you with a knowledge of Jesus Christ and the peace and contentment that come from a relationship with Him and that God alone will recieve all the glory for the impact that He allows me to accomplish on His behalf.
My calling into full time ministry, focused on marriage and fatherhood has been a long very personal and sometime agonizing journey. In October 1990 I was born again,  committing my life to Jesus Christ who is my lord and savior. Nineteen years later, March 1, 2009 God spoke to me, calling me to hike the Appalachian trail to raise national awareness for marriage and fatherhood and to start a ministry in west Michigan. Ultimately through the leading of the Holly Spirit I believe that God weeps when He looks at the state of marriage and fatherhood in our nation and truly desires a God based revival to sweep over our nation.
As this site develops over the weeks and months to come I will share my journey of life and faith as I am led by the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, this journey is not my personal journey but a continuing process of discerning God's purpose for my life. At this point all I would only ask you to pray for my physical and spiritual health on the trail and that God's will would be done.
To my wife Diane who I love and miss more and more every day, I pray that all God's angels would put a hedge of protection around her as she allows God to use her in these ministry efforts. She is and always has been my earthly rock. To my sons, Samuel and Christian, daughter-in-law Annie, and granddaughter Madison, please know that my heart is always with you and that it is only by me following God's call on my life that I will be able to truly and fully love you all, as Christ loved the church.
                                                                           Blessings from the trail,
                                                                           Missionary
